Chatham For All ENDORSES VANCE PITKIN AND TIM MACKERER

VOTE PEOPLE, NOT PARTY

Chatham For All will have a line on the ballot again in November, and we proudly endorse Tim Mackerer and Vance Pitkin for Town Council to serve on the Chatham Town Board.

We've attended every Town Board meeting the past two years and have learned a lot about how our town is governed and which Town Board members are doing the work ... and which are not.

We can also report that Tim and Vance have also attended every meeting. For years. They are fully informed and can get right to work on Day 1.

Trust us when we tell you, our town needs Tim and Vance more than ever! Two people who understand our town's needs, but more importantly, who understand our people, both the generational locals and those who have transplanted their lives to this beautiful town.

They will serve EVERYONE!

In the coming weeks, we'll be giving specific reasons why we are in full support of Tim and Vance to be on Chatham's Town Board.

Stay tuned and get involved! We'd love your support!

In their words ...

"I have been a resident of Columbia County and a small business owner for more than 30 years and have been honored to previously serve on the Chatham Town Board. I am proud of the accomplishments we made, working together for the benefit of the residents of our beautiful and diverse town.

In coordination with Supervisor Collins and my fellow board members, we secured tax breaks for firefighters and the disabled, made many improvements at Crellin Park and expanded communications, to name a few.

Now, I want to accomplish more, namely, updating Land Use Laws, finding creative solutions to housing that’s affordable, and bringing non-partisan balance to the Board.”

"I am a lifelong resident of the Town of Chatham and currently the sixth generation in my family to own the Rowe-Lant farm in East Chatham. I have been active in serving my community for years, and continue to serve on several town committees. Previously, I served on the Comprehensive Plan Update and Review Committee, and was Co-Chair of the Park and Recreation Committee. I currently serve on the Housing Committee, the Zoning Update Committee, and the Invasive Species Committee.

A great concern that I have for the area is the lack of housing that is affordable for young people and seniors. A balance needs to be achieved so that we can retain the rural character of the town but still offer more affordable housing options. This is important to maintain a diverse and vibrant community."

“As a former Town Board member, with bi-partisan support, I want to see this town thrive again. When we moved here in 1964, Chatham burst with young families. It’s critical to bring back affordable homes and opportunities for jobs. Tim and Vance are everything our town needs and have my full support.”

““As a former Town of Chatham Board Member, I understand the significant time commitment and dedication required to perform the job effectively. This involves taking the time to actively listen to diverse perspectives, attending committee and board meetings, refraining from pushing personal agendas and being willing to work with everyone for the best outcome for the residents. Tim and Vance have demonstrated their commitment and dedication to our community through their long-standing volunteering and civic involvement long before they ran for office.  That’s why I support Tim and Vance for the town board, and I hope you will, too.”
